The Rugby Shirt is a timeless piece with great history, durability, and versatility. Sometime in the late 19th century England in the early days of rugby, the necessity for uniformity and a durability could no longer be overlooked, hence the Rugby Shirt was created. Rugby shirts were typically made from heavy jersey cotton that would not rip easily during a scrum. Featuring a lower profile collar than your typical button down and a hidden button placket with rubber buttons to minimize damage.
