The Summer of Love, the social phenomena that took place in San Francisco during the summer of 1967 called the Haight and Ashbury district home. 

As American air raids wreaked havoc on Vietnamese soil, the Haight - Ashbury district became the epicenter of the "Free Love" movement. 

The dichotomy of these two historical events are addressed in this retrospective look at a classic image. 

As the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love approaches it is hard to not to analyze the current happenings of our world and draw similarities.
