Flocking arched 'Jiberish' print on chest.
Flocking is a printing process in which short fibers of rayon, cotton, wool or another natural or synthetic material are applied to the garment adding a slightly raised velvet or suede-like texture to the surface.
Flocking decoration is an extremely old method that dates back to the Middle ages. With improved adhesives technology in the 1970s flocking decoration became very popular. In the late 80s and 90s flocking printing popularity faded away. Although this decoration method is not something widely used in clothing world any more almost everyone is aware or has seen its velvet or suede feel.
As an homage to the late 60s and 70s when flocking prints saw the most popularity we used the Cooper type that you may be familiar with from the Beach Boys Pet Sounds album or the Doors LA Women single artwork.
Featuring a 400gsm custom milled cotton body, double folded side gusset ribbing, flat lock stitched seams, and the classic Jiberish fit.
Details include a 3 panel hood, metal tipped drawstrings, and kangaroo pocket.
High density embroidery embellished in Denver.
